I like the new Obscura album but it's just alright. I think it will be a slow grower. I think that the release suffers from new music fatigue. Way too many new albums and not enough time.

Yes, not truly accessible on first listen, it takes time to reveal it’s charms. Skeletal Remains by C.C. was like that for people here way back when.......when it came out. Where straight up old-school death can be easy to figure out, this takes time. To tell you the truth I haven’t given them much thought when the last few came out. Maybe this has a more Gothenburg Sound than I remember; more melodic, but still technical AF?

Just had my first listen of the new release, it's bloody stellar, Mrs T has gone crazy on it. It could well be my EPOTY 2021 (Can you have an EP of the year? ).

I wish it was longer though. I guess any decent Music should leave you wanting more though

EDIT. I've just posted a Live Album by Hypno5e and a new Aquilus release (First in 10 years) in the Free FLAC thread (Both are Hi-Res - link in my sig), I'd recommend them both for your Metal thrashed brains .
