Picked up diSEMBOWLMENT’s only release sometime around 2000-2002, finding it in a used CD shop. Finally Encyclopedia Metalium gets a first review for it in 2004, even though it came out in 1993? Now everyone knows of the band........including this band, who somehow subtly capture their sound all these years later.

Welp, the WORM album is an absolute banger. This is death/doom done oh-so-right. Wasn't expecting the trad styled leads here but damn are they good, too! And the funeral synth / bell tolls just add to the atmosphere. I need to be careful with the volume knob on the DX300 as this just begs to be cranked.

Hair metal leads, except what else? What else would fit? Also the cymbals creative mixing! The whole right to left cymbals, you think you would get sick of it but you don’t. The rhythm changes, go just right, an artistic statement. And the synth....almost gothic synth, so fun. I can count how many albums of this style that I like on one hand, but this is one. Heavy as hell!
@Redcarmoose I've had a chance to spin Replicant Malignant Reality a handful of times now. Great album. Very catchy with some groove on most tracks. This one will stay in the rotation for a while I think.
