Just found this, some brutal crap :D
The snare drum sounds like a cooking pot, or a cowbell maybe?
For some strange reason I like it... :L3000:

It's not a snare drum, it's actually a sample from Looney Toons of Yosemite Sam spitting into a metal spitoon.

After hearing this recently, plus Voice of Trespass by BTBAM, I need more metal with horns

The terms are really hazy and it depends on where you look it up. They're definitely post as well but I very much lump them in with Ghost Bath and Deafheaven. I'd also highly recommend Bossk and Bosse-de-Nage.
It's good. I was thinking they reminded me of ghost bath

Frontierer & Sectioned. Scottish craziness X 2. Not for the faint of heart, absolutely brutal. You may want to get your ears insured. All their stuff is NYP (ATOP) :-

New Immortal, Shylmagoghnar, Obscura and Skeletonwitch have been on rotation quite a bit lately. Excellent albums. New Beyond Creation and Revocation look very promising from the new tracks too. God damn I'm pumped.

That Skeletonwitch album really surprised me since I haven't been big on them before.

I admit I'm really not feeling Pig Destroyer. They're just not sounding like the band anymore.

Yooooo that's awesome. Thanks for the heads-up.

You're welcome!
I just love the stark contrast of heavy instrumentation (and production) and weird clean singing.

To quote a review of the latest EP:
" the overall effect is not unlike that of Swans and Dio playing simultaneously, atop an actual mountain of MDMA "
