As the seasons turn and the days get shorter here in the US, I'm crawling into full on death metal mode and compiling my favorites of 2023 thus far. Below, in no real particular order, are albums I keep coming back to:

Needless to say, IMO, we've had a strong ~10 months of death metal (and blackened death, prog death, death/doom, etc.) releases. I'm putting together a Tidal playlists with favorite tracks from the above albums that I'll share out here if anyone cares to take a listen.

September has been chock full of great releases! The Finns in particular seem to be on fire... Listening to the Omnivortex album now. Massive! Another really good release is from the Finnish youngsters in Disguised Malignance. Pretty solid playing and OSDM style composition from a crew that's mostly under 20 years old.

Oh yes, it's a time full of beautiful things.
Okay for Disguised Malignance! Very very good ! It smells like the 90s. I'm having trouble choosing my 10 favorite albums for the past quarter. A few more hours of listening to refine that
