I was about to sit down to listen to some music while editing an essay and I go to front row (using my Dad's speakers now, see sig) and I put on a song and I hear some distortion.
I go to the song Accordion by Madvillain (which has a bass drum that seems to explode on everything but a good quality set up) and it was unbelievably distorted, as if everything was boosted.
I exit front row, go to itunes, play the same song (it's in apple lossless) and there is no distortion, it plays perfectly.
Am I alone in this? I don't have my compass just yet, so I'm sending the signal to the amp via line-out.
I repeat, there is NO DISTORTION from iTunes, only front row.
