LED under tube

I saw tube sockets like this one used before and then an LED was put in the little hole where that silver piece is. How do I remove that silver piece?

Yeah, I used those instructions and fixed 2 sockets in about 5 minutes. I used some handy dandy JBWeld to put the two sides back together. That stuff is the handiest DIY thing I'd want!

The heaters on the 12AE6's are pretty dim, so I don't think you're ruining much
