have you tried the pilot pad from ZMF? I'm using one on my k553 mkII and it's great! made huge difference in the comfort.

it's 29.99 + tax + shipping.

Btw i have the DT770 and I find the headband very comfortable not sure if the Custom One is very different.

Thanks, that might do the trick! Are they synthetic? What do they mean by "lambskin", surely not real?

The problem isn't comfort so much, it's just chipping and falling apart after a couple years.

They have different materials, I have the lambskin one and it's great. it's real leather.

Sounds like you found a good alternative. Just wanted to say that I have an older model of the one you linked from Turbulent Labs (the newer one looks nicer than mine, actually), and it has held up very well so far.
