and why would that be? i looked on headphones doesnt say on them itself person i bought them from didnt provide me with the paperwork just the headphones and the cable and box...i just looked

Its fine, ignore nay sayers. If its your first dual cabled headphone dont feel bad. We've all been there atleast once. But rule of thumb is as people have mentioned. Red=Right, and white/blue/black are usually Left.

Should be fine, I have the same cable for HD6XX and HE-4XX and use it all the time with 2.5mm balanced port on my Onkyo DP-X1A player, should be same as DX150 2.5mm balanced port.
