So I got this asus laptop around 4 months ago and it has being great up till the last few days. I don't know how or why but whenever I type weird stuff would happen. Like I would be typing at one place and suddenly the place I was typing at would be pushed back a few place and it would mess up my typing. This started a few days ago and has only gotten worse. Today is easily the worst day and as I was typing this, the weird thing happened five times. So anyone know what is wrong with it?

I think the likely culprit is that I used Lens cleaning wipes on my keyboard to clean. But I'm not sure. What do you think?

Thanks!

Whenever I clean my keyboard I always power off the unit and I always wait a little while before I turn it on again. I make sure that the keyboard is dry so I don't short anything inside.

If you have an external USB keyboard, try it. If it doesn't happen chances are your keyboard has a problem.

You maybe hitting your touchpad by mistake....try to disable it since you are using an external mouse.

Maybe one key on your KB is stuck. It happened a lot of times with my previous laptop, otherwise it needs to be replaced.

Any external USB device can cause adverse problems.  I had a mouse put strain on my power supply and cause so much system latency that I thought the hard drive was going bad.  Replaced the mouse and the system was like new.
