hello all, I am a bit new to playing music from a computer, uptill now I have just used a pc for loading music on my ipods,walkmans etc, and most of my serious music listening has been done with a cd/dvd player through a dac and into my headphone amp with my senn 600's.
But I have just seen a Toshiba L300-13S laptop for about £400 and thought I might treat myself to one for xmas, but not knowing much about laptops or computers for that matter, I need to know if this model would be ok to run through my cambridge dacmagic ( I take it that its connected to the dac via usb... ? ) the idea would be to load all my cds onto the laptop and then play from playlists, also how does the sound quality compare with listening to the music direct from a cd player through the dac ? ... and is there anything else that I need to know before going ahead and buying one...
