Can you comment on the benefit, if any, of using the uDDC with the Harmony DAC?

Since the DAC already has a Femto clock and excellent USB and I2S inputs, it would seem the market for the uDDC would be non-Harmony DAC owners.

I like the industrial design of the case. i2s only output? would have been nice to have a clean usb output too
the wide shallow case kind of reminds me of some of the smaller chord dacs

Seconded re clear benefits and OK - I'm not technical. I use a DMP-A8 as my streamer connected to the Harmony DAC via I2S. What's the benefit of the DDC? Is there a simple explanation?

Or will this become clear when Laiv release their Streamer? How does the Laiv Streamer (assume I2S) => Laiv DDC (I2S only output) => Laiv DAC "better" the DMP-A8 (or other non-Laiv streamers) to Harmony DAC via I2S solution as that's the upgrade path /end solution we are being asked to buy into.

I assume wengfai that there's a masterplan / clear Laiv component synergy at play here? Would be interested to hear the thinking/plan ....

If the channels are reversed, it's easy enough to correct using one of the 8 available I2S modes in the Harmony DAC. I tried a Gustard U18 which required me to use I2S mode "5" in the DAC...

That’s the one I use with the DMP-A8…..

Being owner of the Laiv Harmony DAC I am tempted to purchase this as I have been considering a DDC (holo red or one of the denafrips DDC’s). What is not clear from the Laiv site is if there is any benefit )and if so how much) from using the uDDC clock versus the one In the Laiv DAC alone.

Whilst I agree the price seems right, they don’t mention what type of clock it has and how much of an improvement over just using the LAIV dac by itself. I may send them a message, not asking for guarantees but just a bit more than what has been provided.

Nice, but its more of a generic talk about i2s than on focus on the device. sounds like he hasn't reviewed yet, it has a part 2 to come
