The DAC still sounds great after having it for a few years now. I have had a few different DACS
that cost more and less and it always sounds great going back to it.
I was hoping to get some suggestions to try and repair my USB input. I have flashed the Amanaro Board
and use the latest Windows 10 driver though JRiver on my Windows 10 PC.
The DAC works perfectly though my Singxer SU1 via I2S input.
When using the USB input it plays but drops out, skips with static.
Any other DAC I've used with their respective driver works perfectly and I mainly use the Asio driver.
Do you think the Amanaro board needs replacing? If yes would you know where to purchase a new one?
Thanks for any thoughts and suggestions.

Did the problem start after you flashed the Amanero board ?
If it did, check that you have the right pairing of the correct CPLD and firmware versions, use the latest oem tool, oem_118
http://www.amanero.com/combo384_firmware.htm

There are at least 4 versions of the USB interface used on the LKS004, post a picture of your USB board.
Some versions are still available at places like Aliexpress, the base version of the USB module can be purchased directly from Amanero.

I installed the latest driver and firmware again to be sure with same results again. The USB inputs plays but has static and dropouts. I changed the lock settings with no difference. The display flashes unlocked sporadically when not playing properly. It works perfectly with the I2S input and sounds great via Singxer SU1. I don't have to fix the USB input but would feel better with the dac 100%. Any thoughts to fix or if you feel it's either board and a source to buy them is really appreciated. Thank you!

The symptoms you describe points to an improperly flashed card, likely the CPLD flash is bad as the DAC lock on the I2S clock is unstable.
CPLD generates the I2S signals.

This LKS card uses 2 firmware files
  1. firmware_2006be11 for SOC
  2. CPLD_1081_SWAPPEDSD for CPLD
Make sure you select this in oemtool
  1. Flash SOC
  2. Reset
  3. Flash CPLD
You have to follow Amanero's instructions to the letter, particularly the reset sequence in between flashing the SOC firmware and CPLD firmware

If you want to replace the card, Amanero sells the base model on their website.
Aliexpress has someone selling the 3rd and 4th gen cards, your card looks to be 2nd gen.
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800994100340.html

In either case you will need to add the specific connector LKS uses or transfer it from your existing card

Additional discussion on the MH-DA005. Google to translate if required.
http://www.erji.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2195440

LKS is using 3x SuperCap supply, each bank with 2 caps that charge on alternate cycles
Internal DSP filter can be disabled -->NOS mode useful for things like HQplayer

Lower consumption 15W vs 25W on 004. The 004 analog stage is a true Class-A monster
Sorry to bring out the dead, but how is this possible?

Yes, you can measure with a decent multimeter like Fluke or similar in AC volts and check the frequency as well, here you can see it:

Thank you again for helping me out. It has been long overdue.
I finally made time to measure AC volts on I/V resistors and those 4 voltages are measured too low. The values are between 0.082 and 0.096 volts.
Would anyone kindly help me what to do the next step?

If your dac is behaving normally, I would not worry about it.

If you want to do the measurement check below:
The input to the LKS is not at full volume/fullscale.
  1. Check the display on the LKS says "Vol-FIXED".
  2. If it shows something else, get remote out and press the "BYPASS" button
  3. Follow the displayed instructions to turn off volume control.

Use the test audio files included in the original post.

Check the volume control on your audio player is set to maximum.
Make sure the audio to down stream components, (amp, preamp etc) is muted to reduce the chance of damaging or overloading your equipment.
