Koss UK sent me A250 replacement foam and pads for free!

Some of you may have seen my thread a few days ago saying the foam driver cover on one side of my Koss A250s had worn away. I wrote to Koss USA and they told me to contact their distributor in the UK (Hama UK). So I wrote to them and they wrote back asking for my address. Today (i.e. one day later). I received a package with two knew pleather pads and two new foam driver covers. I paid NOTHING.

Pretty good customer service I thought! It might also be useful info for other A250/130 owners.

to bad the norwegian koss "branch" has become total asses when it comes to the lifetime warranty.
i have a pair of portapros where one of the drivers has started playing badly (low volume, distorted), but the cable and solder are in perfect order.
yet they wont fix it for free since they label it as user abuse.

Wow, the US koss warranty is no questions asked. I'd check your locale's website see if tit says the same. If it does, I'd definitely question their decision.

unfortunatley, according to the norwegian koss page as well, there are lots of questions asked.
probably because the portapros virtually own the entire headphone-market over here, and they were flooded with driver and cable repairs.
most people i know have at least two pairs of broken portapros lying around the house.

If thats true, then I am glad I don't own a Koss.
Cause the no questions asked lifetime warranty are one of their strong selling points.

Oh well!
