Hi everybody!

I am looking for behind the neck headphones and, as I love bass
basshead.gif
, I am attracted by Koss Sportapro.. but there’s something that concerns me: in streetstyle mode the headband makes a 90° angle and apparently it would be a problem to wear it under long hair..

Other headphones have curved headbands.. should I go for those models instead?

Unfortunately Sportapros are nowhere to be found in my area so I can’t try them on..

PS: don't tell me to cut my hair

.. I think women are more attractive with long hair

Hi!
I own a Sportapro but wear them with the metal band over the head!
I am not sure of the comfortabilty of behind the neck wearing?

The Koss KSC75 uses the same drivers as the Sportapro and they are "clip-on" behind the ears. Might be better.

lol,How long is the hair?

I'll second the recommendation for the KSC75's. I just love mine!

Actually, Sporta Pro uses same drivers as Porta Pro. KSC75 has its own, titanium coated drivers which are based on Porta Pro drivers, but sound bit different.

But yeah, get KSC75. Cheap, good, and wont get in a way of long hair.

Hi!
the info about the similar drivers for Sportapro and KSC75 comes from electric-avenues.com the creator and maker of PA2V2 amp.
here is the quote:

"Here is a picture of the Koss Porta Pro headphones. For under $50, these are my favorite pair. If you visit a major Internet search engine and type in "Koss Porta Pro Review" you'll find many people who are crazy about them. The Porta Pros have a nice frequency response with outstanding bass. Some people say the low frequency response is too strong so it's a matter of opinion. I happen to enjoy bass very much and don't mind. I believe that Koss has not changed a thing about these headphones in over ten years now. The drivers used in the Porta Pros are also used in the Koss Sporta Pro, KSC 35, KSC 50, KS5 55, and the KSC 75 models too. Koss simply puts the same speaker into a different style package. "

EDITED: ADDED INFO FROM THE SAME WEB site: "Koss puts the exact same Porta Pro drivers into the Sporta Pro and KSC 35 models. The KSC 50, 55, and 75 models use a version of the driver with a titanium coating and sound great too."

They do not sound the same but one is with a head-band and the other clip on. IMO the KSC75 has a more "open sound" probably due to the lack of tightness the head-band procures.

Also maybe the web site is all wrong!

The drivers are basically same, but KSC75, KTX/Pro and (IIRC) KSC55 has them as titanium coated which also changes the sound little bit. So, they use same bases, but are still different. This is how I understood it.

I wonder what properties the titanium possess that makes it correct for headphone drivers?

More sharpness in highs, generally atleast.

That's why I 'd rather avoid clip ons.. I used to have a pair several years ago but I was not very happy with them and besides the clips were not very comfortable for my ears (but I want to point out that they were crappy low budget Panasonic)

Any other ideas about good behind the neck headphones that suits my haircut?

I've had clip ons that hurt. I forget I am wearing the KSC75's. They are that comfortable to me. YMMV.

I also think the KSC-75's are very comfortable. Only problem with them are the lack of tightness as mention above. Due to this problem, I can't lie down and use these, but these have been a great buy for me.
