Just thought I'd let fellow Aussie head-fiers and headwizers know that BestBuy Computers (Perth, Australia) now stock 2 pairs of Koss headphones. It's a start I guess.

(taken from their website)
KOSSKSC50 HIGH QUALITY KOSS HEADPHONES, SPORTCLIP DESIGN, DEEP BASS PERFORMANCE,IMPEDANCE: 60 Ohms. $63.99

KOSSUR20 EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY HEADPHONES,8FT CORD, IMPEDANCE: 32 Ohms. OUTSTANDING BASS! $71

www.bestbuy.com.au

They ship Australia wide, Details from their website.

Considering both these headphones retail for US$19.99 (~AU$40) I'm not sure why there's a disreprancy in price.

Still I might give the 50's a whirl if i can't find the 35's.

Hello Tktran

I dont know why your thanking this fellow for overcharging for headphones. I assume everyone makes a reasonable profit when a unit is sold for the rrp, beyond that your just making the sod rich. Come the revolution greedy retailers will be first to the wall.

Anyway heres an alternative for you. Ive just picked up a set of the Senn mx500 the folks here reccomend. Sounded shocking at first, shrill, no bass blech. But...after about 30 hrs burn in they are starting to sound *very* good.

They compare well to my ksc-35s...especially in the top end. Im hearing some lyrics I didnt know existed on some songs. Bit less of a soundstage (as you would expect for buds) and bass lacks the "oomph" of the 35s but its tight and musical in the bottom end.

Best part is the price, at forty ozzy buckeroos they're a bargain not to be overlooked.

ALRIGHT!

You're from Perth? Where'd u get the MX500 for 40 buckeroos?

I'm off to get me a pair.

(incidentally, would you recommend MX500 for activewear? like jogging, gymming etc? The foam pad on my KSC35s get soaked, but the earphones themself haven't croaked yet... i'm not sure if sweat will kill my earbuds)

Japan Hifi Vic ParK, I got the last set of 500s but hes got 400s for $35 ( I think) and im sure he'll order you some in. Mine were ticketed $49 but thats obviously negotiable

Cant really comment on the jogging / gymming thang... Im sure my heart would stop if i attempted anything so foolish...they hang in pretty well with the foamies on.

Bought mine for under the motorcycle helmet and future backpacking expeditions.
