I currently own a pair of the KSC75's which I have placed inside some Gemini Eggphones. They fit fairly comfortably, were cheap, and sound decent. They sound (in my opinion) a little worse than a well fit KSC75 (although I'm still very happy with their sound), but the Eggphones enclosures feel pretty cheap.

I was wondering how the Koss UR40 sound compared to the KSC75's? I am looking for something with a over the head, circumaural fit with the Kosss sound. I also would like to know how exactly do they sit on your ears? From this pic:

they look to be a semi-circumaural design (similar to the Sennheiser 212/202). I'd like to know if the outer padding will go fully around my ear? I don't mind the inner foam resting against my ear, but the outer padding never seemed to feel right on the Senn's and I don't want the same thing from the UR40's.

hey
i just bought thse headphones today. they're not burned in yet, but they sound pretty decent. i have an m-audio revo 5.1 to drive them. this is a sort of an upgrade from my no name crap phones.
pro's: very comfortable, decent sound
con's:the highs seem a little bit too strident. maybe after burn in it'll be better
the impedance is 60 ohm...
i paid 29 cad for them

The UR40 (foam removed) has less sparkle and the midrange is a little recessed, with the foam in it's worst. I also placed the 75's drivers in an "eggo" the Sony d777. I didn’t completely seal the eggo but they do sound better than the UR40.

My preference

1. 75's (krammer)
2. 75's driver in the Sony mdrd777
3. UR40 (with the open cell foam removed)
