Okay, okay, sorry in advance for the really lame question! But...how do you actually put the KSC-35s on? I just received my pair in the mail yesterday and I can't figure out how to wear them!

Which side is left/right? How much of the ear do you actually clip? Does the headphone end up "vertical?" With a correct clip, is it still supposed to leak a *lot* of sound?

Thanks!

yes they do end up almost "vertical?". and yes they are open headphones with no covers onthe back of the drivers..so they leak almost 90%

Um you just spread the clips and put your ears through. No twisting. I know it took me so long to figure it out cuz i had the damn sony clips before where the clip is on some spring and u spin it on an axle and put it on. This koss clip is 10x more simple and comfy too cuz it doesnt apply any pressure except gravity.

I don't know if the same thing happened to you or not, but my KSC-35s came with TWO right ear clips. They are going to mail me a left-ear clip. It confused the hell out of me.

For quick verification, put both phones next to each other with the pointy side of the clips facing down and the clips facing you, the KOSS logos on the clips should be in opposite directions.

I posted this awhile back:

Hold the tip of the clip on the top of your hear where there is a space between your ear and your head and rotate it down. Then pull the back of your ear a little to make it secure. This way you won't be bending the clip and potentially breaking it one day. Hope this is clear.

P.S.

It maybe helpful putting the KSC 35 in front of the mirror for the first time with this method. Hold the KSC 35 so the Koss logo is upside down. By rotating it down the Koss logo will now be vertical.

Thanks a lot! Two more questions though... the very, very bottom on the clip, is that part supposed to go over your earlobe so that none of the clip has clipped onto your ENTIRE ear and none of it touches the earpad anymore? Because I can do that, and that way, the clip is much more secure, but it involves quite a bit of effort and doesn't happen when you just "slid the earclip down." Also, what did you mean when you said the "Koss logos should be upside down?"

I've had these for three days now as well, and I've come to the conclusion I hate them. They sound great, as other have said the bass is much better then my Sony Eggos. However, these things have to be the most comfortable headphones ever. For me (who has large ears) at first they felt like a vice when tucked behind my ear lobes. So bent the plastic to make them less pinchy, then bent them back, tried different positions, and finally came to the conclusion that they just dont fit my ears no matter what

I think im going to try to sell them to a family member and pick up the porta's instead. Its a shame, I feel myself wanting to put them on to hear how great they sound, and afterwards remember why I cant stand them.

No matter what I've tried, those ear clips on the 35's don't seem to fit my earlobes well either. I actually prefer my KSC 50's, which have at least a bit of adjustment to their clips.

lucky lucky. A while back i remember MacDEF tried contacting Koss hoping to order a big box of koss 35 clips, so we could all convert our koss 50's or what nots into 35's. Unfortunately they refused.

I'm very surprised they are mailing you just the clip.

Yep -- the SportaPros use the exact same driver and enclosure as the KSC-35, so I wanted to get a bunch of KSC-35 clips so we could buy SportaPros and convert them. Nope.
