I came across these in Walmart the other day while looking for a pair of black HAFX33's. Has anyone tried these? They appear to be pretty new. They kind of piqued my interest, but I'm afraid to be the first guinea pig.

Let me know.

I don't see what's so terrible about those specs?

Furthermore I don't think specs are all that important when it comes to headphones since specs can't tell you how a headphone sounds.

So has anyone heard these yet?

kinda weak for buds, 93dB. The Sparkplug & Plug are 112dB, and have better THD 0.3%.

I just took the plunge on these at Walmart. It was a total waste for me but I hope I at least saved some other head-fi-ers some money. The housing feels pretty solid but that's where the good stuff ends. They simply sound like crud. Everything is muddy and there is no detail or resolution to speak of. Even when there should be a small amount of bass impact, these simply distort. Highs are just as bad. The treble is barely there and just sounds like the earphone is underwater.
They come with 3 tip sizes in the package. On all my other canalphones I have always used the medium tip successfully. On the KEB/24 the middle size was too large and "sticky" and pulled sideways over the housing during insertion. The small tips were tiny and no good as well. I tested them using the tips from my CK7 which fit easily. The results were no different.

There is no reason why ANYONE should EVER buy these canalphones. Koss has taken everyone for a ride and released a horribly subpar product at a retail price ($20) which offers legitimate options for decent comfort and sound quality.

There is no reason why anyone should buy these over the FX33, FX55, Razer m100, CX300, etc, etc, etc.

I am not a Koss hater or anything but shame on them for releasing such trash to the market.

Just a note: These impressions were made without any burn-in whatsoever. They are burning in right now. If by some miracle they eventually sound even passable I'll post again.

They do have lots of cheap products that never get mentioned here. Koss does not deserve to earn any money through the KEB/24. It is not a Koss designed product - just a pre-made Fujikon headphone with the Koss name across the top. I have a KSC75 and I love it. These are just utter poop.

Ok, I just hope there isn't a Fujikon product that looks like KEB79...

to me, the KEB79's look like some Sony IEM's I've seen somewhere.

I tried those and they are terrible and you are best off with the JVC Marshmallows. They have boomy, unpunchy bass and the overall sound is unpleasantly over-dark.

Also the KEB24's have a hole on the front, not shown in the picture, so they look nothing like the Fuji's.

The main housing is identical to the Fujikons. They just have a different back cap.

My KEB24s broke a few days after I sold them. Way crappy for Koss.

Today I bought a pair of Panasonic RP-HJE300. They are really comfy and sound good too. They are currently being burned in w pink noise. I'll try to write a review tomorrow. So far they look like a great deal for $20.
