hi,

my friend is in Berlin at the moment and I was wondering if he could buy the Koss KSC75 somewhere there for reasonable price and bring them to me as I can't buy them here where I live? Does anybody now a suitable shop in Berlin?

TIA

In Europe Koss headphones are not cheap, so only one place I can think of is Ebay.de

http://cgi.ebay.de/Koss-KSC-75-KSC75...QQcmdZViewItem

At Amazon.de they are more expensive

http://www.amazon.de/Koss-KSC-75-Kop...9514807&sr=8-5

So do not expect to buy one cheaper in regular shop, however...

Why dont you buy up here

KSC-75 are overpriced in Germany. Sometimes you can find PortaPros for only about 20 euros total, though, which I think is a good deal, but I'm sorry to say I don't know of any particular shop to check right now. Media Markt tends to be cheaper than Saturn, anyway. It's funny, even with the high price of Koss, there are far, far more people wearing PortaPros in Berlin than in any city in the US. No headphone is more common on the streets, though of course PX100 comes close. But then Berlin is a good place for headphone watching.

you might want to look for the Kossart iPro(these are gaining in popularity) they are portapro clones made somewhere in europe so you can probable find them at a more reasonable cost in germany than you would a koss product or maybe try to find the KOSS KTX PRO 1 for cheaper

the reason ksc75 is loved in this forum is because they sound good and are cheap in america.

well i don't kind of dig the portapro's looks. and i really don't care too much about the price in that range - or are you suggesting the KSC75 would cost more than EUR20 in Germany? I would pay 20 Euros or even a bit more for sure, cause if I understand correctly, you can't get any better than these for this kind of price anyhow. And I suppose there isn't a chance to get the Yuin PK3 for that kind of price in Berlin also?

Of the matter of ordering online, I'm not too sure if they ship it here (to Estonia) and what the price would be if they did.

Price from online shop in Holland is EUR 29, which makes USD 40 at the moment, insane if you ask me.

well, i'm sorry to say - i don't really know how this "buying up here" would go.

and shipping and etcetc...
btw, i'm still having a look though at portapro's, i think i can find them here in Estonia in some shop. are they worth the money compared to KSC75, i haven't really thought about them before because their looks kind of frightened me? i think i could get them for about 50$ here or maybe if my friend could really get them in Berlin cheaper, as someone suggested... though i can't suggest him any shops.

As far as I know they do share the same drivers, but PortaPros have more BASS, cos they are sitting tighter on your head.

If you can pay using PAYPAL, you can always check FOR SALE HEADPHONES forum and place a WANT TO BUY thread. One problem, you have to be for 6 month member or having 50 posts to do so.

I would say, BUY USED and spare some cash for other things

thanks for the info, Agnostic, checking this out...

and. are the clips ok with glasses, have i understood correctly? and the KSC75 don't come with a bag i suppose and the portapros always do? as here in the shop where i was checking the portapros, i couldn't get my hands on these because somebody had ordered them, so they couldn't open the plastic package and the salesman didn't know if there was this bag inside there or not.
and if i could get the portapro's with a somewhat similar price as the KSC75 the portapro's would be an improvement, right?
btw, in this internet shop the Koss Sporta Pro is on sale at 29.90 eur (original price 39.90, same as the Porta Pro) - how do these two compare?
