Well, my KSC-50's arrived and "Valerie", a Koss person, gave me a call. I called back two times and got no answer, so I sent them an e-mail and promptly got one back!

oh well, I'm at least glad to hear from them. Anyway, I sent in a letter with my 50's saying that I was dissappointed with the design and that they kind of fell apart on me. Also, I had some grattle in the left earphone I couldn't get rid of. In the letter, I requested a pair of KSC-35's in return instead of the 50's. If not, I requested some kind of credit towards the 35's.

The e-mail text is as follows:

Quote:

Thank you for your recent return. If you decide to upgrade your current
Ksc50 headphones to the Ksc35, the total difference will be $19.99. You
will receive 50% credit from the Ksc50 towards the Ksc35. IF you choose
not
to go with the upgrade, we can just replace under the warranty. You
will
receive a new set of the Ksc50's. Please contact Koss to let us know
what
you would like to do.

My dad said he'd buy me a pair of 35's if they shipped us back 50's anyway, so this seems like a good deal. Then again, I could get the 50's back and sell them on e-bay, but it would be a pain and I probably would only have a net gain of 10 bucks anyway.

What do you guys think?

I have both and I prefer the KSC-35's. Once I learned how to put them on easily they were my first choice. Inow use the 50's for the gym.

Let's see, the KSC-35s go for $29.99 and the 50s for $19.99. E-mail says you can get a 19.99 difference for a return for the 35s ($10.00 less shipping), then it says you only get a 50 percent credit for the 50 toward the 35 exchange, which comes out to $14.99, what a rip. I would hold them to the total 50 worth from the 35 price and just owe them $10.00 plus shipping for the swap.

I already gave them shipping. It's 20 bucks flat.

BTW, my old 50's don't have a chance of repair. I'd be getting a new pair. Then again, I want the 35's, I don't want the 50's. What would I do with an extra pair of the headphones I don't want? Use them as backup?
