Can you help me out re playing videos from my Windows 7 computer.I have converted the files to avi but they will not play in kogan mp4.
Any help would be good
Kev.
You may just have to search on line until you find out the correct MP4 file type. DVD extractors will rip into a whole collection of choices. Someone will eventually compile the setting and rip DVD software on this thread that will work. I don't have the player yet so I can not experiment with files.
A perfect example of this is you will notice rippers with different file selections for every Apple IPod which does video, yep every one can at times use a different file. Some software players are more easy going.
Also here is Kogan selling on Ebay. Just send them the question and they may know what ripper and what exact setting so you can convert media.
Specs say avi and screen res is 320x240. Don't expect much in the way of decoding or resampling in a $29 device. Convert to avi 320x240 and call it a day. AVC is a nice free conversion program.
It would be different for a distributor who could actually be required to order more. Problem is that the form you linked is to become on of their suppliers (sell to them), not sell their wares.
Yes, figured that, they may have a 100 unit base limit but the price would be less too? A group buy may work but it does not seem like you would get that many buyers from the US.
The lower price point may equal out with shipping costs? That is if there was group buy interest?
Only way would be to try I guess. I'm not in the US or I would help.

Hey guys. I've been read-only on head-fi for some time but now I'm ready to write my first post lol. Since I found this thread I've done some search on aliexpress and other chinese shops but didn't find anything. So I decided to find out if any of companies in my country sell this player rebranded (just like Kogan), and suddenly found RF-7650, by Russian company Ritmix. It looks the same, has the same hardware, and as I see on pictures the same firmware. The only difference that Ritmix has 4/8/16GB of built in memory, and if I understood right Kogan doesn't have intrnal memory at all. Here is the link http://www.ritmixrussia.ru/products/rf-7650. It's all in Russian but I think google translate may help you. Also the price is pretty much the same. Ritmix costs even a bit less (it costs around 1000 rubles for 4gb version, that is nearly $26)
