I have the Castor Pro bass and Saga Balanced coming... I don't know What I was thinking lol. Based on what I've read here, probably should've chosen the Saga Bass and Castor Pro Harman. The OG castor bass is pretty good for the price, but I've barely used them. KZ iems make pretty good gifts though.
I am tempted about Saga bal, but there are issues with an 11k peak. Grainy treble, maybe. Its not talked much. There is no squig to actually see this, by the way. Saga bass ver may bleed much and doesnt get audiophile approval. Definetely a good basshead set though.

TRN Orca keeps the crown of budget DD. Especially if Castor Pro gets the harman midbass dip, which gets tech right but thins the sound

... nobody is brave enough for that amount of abuse. @Nimweth gave them a good shake against the PR3, but I don't think I've seen anyone here that spoke toward collecting all of them. I think most of the KZ planar holders took 1 and called it a year.

😅. I have all the KZ planars, with PRX on the way. I also have the CCA PLA13, but I don’t have the KZ planar hybrid though. (Symphony).

Im very interested in a PR1 Pro vs PRX review, for me the PR1 pro are still slightly more detailed and have better vocals.
I just ordered PR1, the most expensive planar by KZ.
PRX has come day ago, sounds great to me and I like KZ shift to a warmer mids tuning

How did you find a PR2 v1?
I've ordered it right after a video by HBB about upcoming collab. So i ordered it as soon as i found it on aliex

I just thought most people were saying that if you ordered one from a retail outlet relatively recently then you were probably going to get a v2 or v3 as the limited supply of v1s sold out a long time ago and are even hard to find on the used market.

I ordered mine directly from KZ earlier this year and got a v3 manufactured in December of 2023.

Lol I've never even heard of the symphony. Must have been napping that day.
Its KZ experiment with concept of "adding Dynamic Driver to compensate Planar bass response"
with lack luster result as they apparently having hard time of balancing the DD and planar.
that being said, some people do love it tough, apparently quite the basshead iem

PRX arrived this morning, and straight out of the box and just 6-7 songs in, I am 100% sure this is the KZ planar I would recommend for anyone curious about KZ’s planar endeavors. It is slightly power hungry, (or fairly power hungry), but it is much easier in the high mids and treble than it’s older siblings. Personally my 52 year old ears can listen to all the old ones without fatigue, but I know many people have trouble with them.

Glad I bought my spare Vader with a balanced cable. With that I suppose I can make use of my Tempotec's balanced out in case the JM20 Max is not powerful enough for my incoming PRX. It might very well not be if I end up using it while making music, levels tend to be low in the production phases before mastering.
