We'll be one of the few pioneers! I just placed an order for the Ebony.

I'll try to provide as detailed impressions as possible. I'm mainly interested in the comparisons to Fostex, but I've heard plenty headphones as well.

I had the opportunity to use these for a week thanks to @grizzlybeast. They had good build quality, were gorgeous and sounded pretty good. They have a slight V-shape sound to them but it's not overdone, it just makes music exciting and engaging, which is what Klipsch was going for so Kudos!

I'll post measurements tonight.

Got my tracking number already. Saw on the tracker that it weighed 16 pounds! That is a lot for a headphone case! I don't think I've had one in the past that even went to 10...

I listened to this headphone at canjam and they sounded amazing. I also listened to it through Klipsch Heritage amp and the synergy is even better than hp-3 with WA8 IMO. I really should get one in the future.

Need more comparison against the Auteur! I know only a "select" few got to try/own them but I still can't seem to pull the trigger on either of them.

I've read that the Auteur are somewhat dark and that kind of threw me off...

Although its nice that these are available to get right now!

Where did you read that? The Auteur's are supposed to be the most neutral out of the 3 TOTL headphones and, having heard the Eikon (slightly warm) and Atticus (warm), that wouldn't be dark at all...


I'll be getting the HP-3 today and will do some out of the box sound impressions, burn them in for a week straight, then some final impressions. I've been looking for a more natural TH-900, so if these don't cut it, I'll return them and just go back to the Fostex.
