Im in the market for a pair of new in-ear headphones and have been reading up on Etymotic MC5 and the ER6i as well as the Klipsch Custom 3s and can´t decide which ones to get.

And is just hoping for some advice from the experts of head-fi.

I prefer to listen to indie rock and some hip-hop, and I do feel like I would prefer the regular fitting of the Etymotics rather than the over ear design of the Klischs.

Thanks,

There is a used pair of MC5 in the FS forum for $40 or $45 if you decide to go that way. I believe the MC5 is the only one in your roundup that is dynamic speaker based though. The Klipsch has notorious issues with the cable fraying and also microphonics. I believe the eR6i are on of the deep insertion IEM's but are supposed to be well built. Sorry I can't give any comments on actual sound.
