My dad broke my mini to mini by sitting on the cable which broke the 1/8 tip in half, can someone fix it for me? use gold plated instead of silver?

yeah... if you want to bring it by, i can resolder a new plug for you. it's very easy to do. i live in Arcadia, so i'm about 1/2 hour away. or, you know... if you had a soldering station, you could just do it yourself. there really isn't much you can screw up in a cable. at worst you would have to cut off a cm. or so off the end and start over 'till you get it right.
