Here is a mini Review of the : Khadas Tone 2 Pro
So, what is it?
Its the TONE 2 PRO from Khadas.
What does it do?
Well, it does:
ESS ES9038Q2M Dac
It does 4 OPA1612 operational amplifiers
It does Hi Rez - Up to 32bit 384KHz sample rate, bit-perfect DSD512
MQA
Its does Balanced and SE
It does a great Volume Knob
It does it all in a nice metal housing.
-and MORE.
Its a very nice portable Dac/Amp made for the person who wants a KILLER Dac but does not need the product to be the size of a shoebox or weigh 9 kilos or 20 lbs.

How does it sound?
It sounds like Hi End gear, miniaturized.
I discovered this Dac/Amp on a UTBE review channel offered courtesy of my favorite Youtube reviewer.

He states that its world class, and you dont need anything else, unless you have really hard to drive headphones, in which case, you can buy this one for all your other headphones.
So, based on his remarks, i found out he is correct. (Again).
Tonally, it reflects its High End Dac. As this Dac setup is designed for clinical clean transparent revelation, and that it does.
This is not warm fuzzy roundness, this is straight wire analytics.
The Khadas Tone Pro 2 come in different colors, they are shipped from China, and mine was delivered in ONE Day, from China.
I'll take that everytime i can get it, as im not one who enjoys waiting.
The faster my gear shows up, the happier i am.
So, the Tone Pro 2 sounds very good, its a quality piece, and its affordable and portable, and offers a really good Volume knob.

Other additions to the Tone2 Pro include a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack in addition to the standard 3.5mm single-end jack. The Tone2 Pro's aluminum enclosure incorporates a hybrid digital/analog volume control knob, allowing you to rely entirely on analog signal attenuation for accurate sound reproduction. With not one, but two USB-C ports, you can connect a 5V linear power supply to the second USB-C port whilst having USB-C data on the first for excellent power-noise isolation. Finally we've added an industry-first balanced RCA line-out. These novel RCA ports have three signal-pins instead of two, yet retain the same size and form factor as regular RCA ports.
The latest addition to file format support is MQA decoding. The onboard XMOS XU216 processor enables bit-perfect, hardware-native, USB class II, asynchronous "unfolding" of MQA data for both web streaming and local high fidelity audio playback, enabling future-proof "original master quality" audio reproduction just as the artist intended, but at reasonable file sizes and streaming bandwidth requirements.
