New flagship of the brand Kennerton: the Thror.

Power in the house ??

Quote about your review of the Kennerton Odin mk2 (02/01/2018) by Headfonia:

" Amplification wise I do recommend using a full sized tube or solid state desktop amp as the Odin sounds best that way. The areas for improvement are the extension of both highs and lows, the spaciousness and the speed. I have listened to a new Kennerton headphone at shows though, and this upcoming version addresses these points. I have to say I like it very much.

Price-wise the Odin doesn’t come cheap but you get nothing but the best materials and a 3-year warranty in return. With really strong contenders such as Hifiman, Mr. Speakers and Audeze it is a tough market but I do think the Kennerton Odin has enough character to be different from the rest.

I do look forward to the new Kennerton headphone though, as it’s very good. I hope to get it for review so that we can compare both versions more closely. "

Maybe the Kennerton Thror (new flagship of the brand Kennerton) meets your expectations for the areas of improvements for the extension of both highs and lows, the spaciousness and the speed ?

A review coming for the Kennerton Thror, in frebruary 2019 ?? :)

Wow !

7irf.png

Beaten record of the lightest open headphones on the market !

Estimated weight: about 10 grams (the weight of two pieces of sugar).

Who said that Odin headphones were heavy to wear?

Although the version of the "mini Thror" to come (soon) is even lighter (weight estimate about 7 grams) ... :)

Wow. Limited edition?

This is in fact the light and minimized version of the Odin, also called "Baby Odin" or "mini Odin"!
For very small heads, only.

Maybe destined for the very small head of a bat?
Like the one visible in the center of the Kennerton logo. :)

They are so cute these 3 bats with the mini Kennerton Odin headphones to the size of their very delicate and sensitive ears.

Hello everyone,

Here is the link to another very interesting review (part A) of the new Kennerton Thridi headphones (also called Odin mk3), wrote by Aziz (Zizou on the french forum) (Note: you can use google translate)
Link: https://musique-o-casque.com/viewtopic.php?p=933#p933

The new Kennerton Thridi is presented here as an improved version of the Kennerton Odin mk2 (this latter headphone has just entered the history) ; the Thridi headphones shares its warmth and tone, so attractive and charming of the Odin mk2, but in being a little more precise, fast and airy than this last.
Not to mention that the Thridi weighs 100 g less than the Odin mk2. (note: last comment from me).

Coming soon (on the same French forum), the part B of the Aziz's review, which will focus this time on the flagship product of the brand, the Kennerton Thror headphones.

Hi all,

As promised, here is the part B of the review of headphones wrote by my compatriot Aziz (Zizou in the french forum), this time concerning the Kennerton Thror. (Note: you can use google translate)
Link: https://musique-o-casque.com/viewtopic.php?p=1021#p1021

Personal comment: I think the author of this review really appreciates this Thror headphones, like the other flagship headphones he owns. :)

EDIT : partial quote from the author of this review (after translation) : " Compared with other headphones, and there for me it's quite edifying, is that Kennerton has managed to keep its "patte" (T.N :its personality), while making a real technical advance. I am lucky to have both the Odin, the Utopia and the He1000 V2. Thror is of this vein (T.N: of this class), this vein of the great headphones; it supplants the Odin and the Thridi and is as good as the Focals or Hifimans (Utopia, HE-1000SE, HE-1000V2). All these headphones are magnificent and complementary. But the Thror impresses me by the restitution of the instruments and this perfectly controlled power, and this softness."

Hi all,

Here is a another quote from the author of this review above (after translation)

" Undeniably the cable plays a role nevertheless important, as well as the amplification. I have a cable that I use for the Odin, and it has effectively attenuated this impression or this trait character slightly dark (less than the Audeze) that has the Odin MK2. Now the MK 2 is a delicious headphones, especially with a good cable and a nice amplification of quality.

I have it (this Odin mk2) and I keep it "sans coup férir" (that is to say, without major problem) ..haha. I just love this headphones. Like many other people.

Now to return to my review, the Thror, it's really a very nice (good) headphones for comfort, quality, sound reproduction, correctness of the timbres (tone). In addition I find it very well mastered in its power (ie: very good sound control, even at high power).
Between the Thridi and the (Odin) MK2 they are similar values, despite all, even if the technical Thridi is slightly ahead, but the charm of the (Odin) MK2, it's something (N.T : the author is impressed).

The Thror ... It's another style or another sound restitution that the Odins however; it supplants them (outclasses) to my ears very clearly and it can face the Utopia, the Hifiman (N.T: HE1000-V2 and HE1000-SE), without saying that it is better, that is a question of taste, but it is (the Thror) superbly well "timbré" (T.N : has very beautiful timbres) with his stock cable. "

Hello everyone,

The strength of the Thror is its bass of exceptional quality, and also the "persuasive sweetness" of this headphones, if I dare say so.

Kennerton headphones have one thing in common: to know how to convey the emotion of the music played; Thror does not escape this rule; the emotion, deep, and well we can have with this headphones until give you the thrill, so much you find beautiful and involving the music so reproduced by this headphones.

Yesterday, I had the thrill and a true and deep emotion to follow the progress of the music of Hans Zimmer for the movie "The Thin Red Line" whose staging, superb, of a moving simplicity, marked me; it also reminds me of the presentation of Borodin's music "in the Steppes of Central Asia" where the sound begins very simply, very slowly, by a single instrument (the only note continue of a violin for Borodin, while for Hans, this is a simple drumstick pencils), with a gradual rise in the sound until reaching a sublime apotheosis, before decreasing, until disappearing.

To listen this music in the dark, the senses, 100% receptive to the emotion and the beauty of the sound.
(NB: the bass, deep and powerful, the strings and the brass reproduced by the Thror, greatly contribute to this feeling).

EDIT :
Not to mention the sound quality (among the best), the manufacturing quality of the Thror is exemplary: natural leather, precious wood (here Bog Oak), aluminum, carbon fiber (for the frame of the drivers) and composite material for the external grids stylish (T logo), much lighter than the heavy outer metal grids (in Zinc) of the Odin.

The weight of Thror is similar to that of my ex Stax SR-009 headphones; the clamping force also similar to that of the 009 once reshaped the arch (metal branches twist) to the shape of my (broad) head.

Hi all,

I do not know what kind of music to link this video below (acoustic, rock, electro, metal, gothic?), or so a little of all these genres together , but the versatility of the Kennerton Thror, its flexibility (openness to all musical genres), its softness, its character organic, and the quality of its bass at the same time very detailed, clean, fast and deep, do wonders here! :)

To listen without moderation (except for the volume, which can be very very strong on this kind of music), but do not overuse anyway.

Hi all.

We mourn in France the disappearance of a famous couturier, world famous; the artistic director of the house Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld: https://www.francetvinfo.fr/culture...nault-se-dit-infiniment-attriste_3197647.html

In their own way, like that of the French with the Focal Stellia, the Russians also have their great couturier, with the brand Kennerton, by dressing leather, elegantly, their headphones planar Kennerton (headband and pads): dark blue or black color, it is up to you to choose! :)
