Hi all.

Soon the release of a 3rd version of the Odin (after the first two versions mk1 and mk2)), the Odin "Third" or perhaps "Thridi" (one of the aliases of the god Odin).

An improved version of the Odin, lighter of 100 g, intermediary between the current Odin mk2 and the Thror (which weighs 200 g less than the Odin mk2), with a new and more comfortable suspension headband, a new less microphonic cable and lighter external grids (minus 100 g) in composite material, and finally with a new driver using the same lightweight membrane of the Thror (in honeycomb?), but a priori not the same frame (heavier) (information to check however).

That Eleven Audio amp looks like a tank! I imagine it will be awesome. Hope to hear more of your impressions on that Eric...

Hi Andrew,

I just received the amp XI Audio "Formula S", the small "Tank" in appearance, which, in fact, is bad name, so much this amp is fine.:)

My first comments (here, in French on the French forum HCFR: http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/post179467774.html#p179467774) during a first comparative listening with the amp Viva 2A3 and my headphone Kennerton Odin mk2 (left on the first pic).

I briefly tried out the Tror yesterday at Can Jam. It sounded great - beautiful even and rich tone. Relatively light and comfortable too.

How much will it retail for? I thought over $4K but not sure.

If the Odin II is said to be of similar weight that would be great. Yesterday definitely got me more interested in the Kennerton sound. I liked it more than the Meze Empyrean.

Hi @LaCuffia

Estimated price of the Thror : $ 3.500 USD (and in Europe : 3.600 Euros, including 20% European Tax)

The weight of Thror is 200 g less than the current Odin mk2 (470 g versus 670 g, without the cable)
The weight of the future Odin "Third" is 100 g less than the current Odin mk2 (570 g versus 670 g, without the cable)

The Thror is amazing, a show stopper in the Cayin room, if you are interested to check out the best of Kennerton, please come to URIS room of CanJam New York today, this is one-time opportunity for a while, you need to wait till the AXPONA if you missed the demo today.

And the Cayin amps are great too. Amazing value. They seemed to pair very well with the planars that were in the room, especially with the Kennerton.[/

Thank you very much for your kind words to our HA-300 headphone amp, and I surprised a lot of visitors with the Kennerton Thror. On top of those who checked out every headphones on the table (Utopia, Susvara, Thror and EtherC Flow), I have suggested a dozen "dedicated" visitors to audition the Thror, and they all feel amazed by this "black horse", The general feedback Thror, Utopia and Susvara are in the same level, the choice will mainly a matter of personal preference.

Should have say Hi to me (if I am around), I really look forwards to meet with fellow Kennerton users.
