I just pulled the trigger on the Neoteric. Assuming it ships before all hell breaks loose in that part of the world, I'll certainly post some impressions.
Just received the Vali Neoteric today. Very, very early impressions — very similar to GH50 JME Mk2 which speaks to the merits of @John Massaria‘s mod as the Vali sounds more open than the GH50 but only by a hair (more a sense of subtle air pressure difference than difference in perceived stage width). Punchy bass (GH50 still wins here however), good vocal timbre, treble is nice but not too sharp (which I like, e.g. I can make it through Machine Gun by Band of Gypsys w/o wincing during the screeching feedback sections). More to come as it breaks in. And it is very pretty.

Has anyone tried the M-12s? If someone has one I could offer Magni V3 in exhange if some money is added on top.

I'm curious of M12 because I'm not big fan of magni or rögnir dynamic. It's either the graphene driver or fully sealed baffle that does not work for my ears. I really like gh40 so M12 with that same biocellulose driver might suit my preferences.

If you like that biodynamic timbre and slam, you should try the Vali 2019, it's open back but it's really worth it.

I've been thinking about it and actually just missed a nice deal on eBay last week. At 500€ it would have been worth it just for the looks :D That peerless driver is very good. I've done some own builds based on it and they're excellent even if I say so myself

On the other hand I mostly buy "affordable" headphones for review purposes only so in production models make more sense.

Damn, that was a really nice deal.
Had a bunch of headphones, some way more expensive and ended up sellin all and keeping the Valis.

Yeah, the peerless driver is great and the implementation that Kennerton made is really good. Clean and punchy bass, good mids, sparkly treble and really solid imaging capabilities and natural soundstage.
With some Eq adding some dbs to the upper mids, they are pretty much perfect headphones for me.

This continues to be a great resource chart. Thank you. One aspect with which my own listenings don’t align is on the Wodan. To me the slightly less bright treble doesn’t push the Wodan into “dark side of the force” territory compared for example to the Rögnir planar. Perhaps this is because I am comparing the “bass tuned” Rögnir to the Wodan? And if so, any way to include both tunings of the Rögnir on the chart?

On this chart in "dark" I mean more recessed treble than bass volume. I.e. Fostex 900 still "light" for me, nevertheless they're definitely bass heavy. And as I know there are more than one revision of Wodan, on chart - aluminium driver version.
