Bending will probably not be enough though. The full rich magni mids are there but you must compress the earpads a ton to get there. Pointless I know but I would do a shallow pad mod for it if the magni didn´t exist. It´s kind of hard to get the compression just right when you do it manually but GH50 can be just as sweet and have just as good tonality it felt like. I understand the headband bending will do part of this but on my head no way to get enough clamping force to achieve that.
Everytime I see someone testing the Gjallarhorns without the metal band bending I simply cannot take it at full value. Seriously, that step is a MUST to get the proper sound. That being said as I stated in my review the mids are the most controversial aspect of these cans, yet I would not ever call them "unnatural" it's simply a unique type of mids, like the instruments sounding more distanced, giving the impression of great depth. If you have attended to chamber music concerts it's that feeling. I absolutely love it now, but at first it did surprise me.
