Excellent pics! I preordered one of the next two that Kennerton is producing in that color. If I estimate from when I last spoke to them, it should be about a week until they're ready. I'm really looking forward to them. I have a tiny head so I guess I'll be doing the bend-to-fit scenario also. I couldn't even get my Odin Mk2 to fit at the smallest setting. I had to add a ZMF pilot pad to make them usable.

I will be upping the clamp on the Rognir. My only complaint so far is my ears touch the inner part of the pads. Very shallow pads.

If you are making a custom order, you should be able to request a tighter clamping force than standard. Im sure its possible for the Kennerton team to accommodate that request

Hey mate
I have Lcd2.2 pre fazor and Kennerton Thridi.
Thridi is of similar sq to hp1.

The differences with most music is not great and as described here. More sub bass with lcd and more air with Thridi.

But with good recordings, and suitable genres, there can be an impressive difference.

Not night and day, but almost.
Thanks! I really just need to take the plunge and get something. The more reviews I read, the more directions I am pulled! I really like the thought of the HP-1, but just don't want the feeling of FOMO if I do not try the Arya. Head-fi agony!

Man these are a piece of art. That colour and the pattern are just insane.

Any differences in terms of sound with those hybrid pads?

Nope- sound same I think - would love to measure it- but having no perforated holes is key and having all leather inside ear pad helps it sound the same but the suede touching just the skin is very comfortable for me and doesn’t get even warm like leather- I hope that Kennerton offers this pad to all at the $89 I paid for upgrade custom pad- much better quality than a Dekoni elite hybrid by far I also have- very very happy with the entire team at Kennerton- especially owner Valentin and Ivan for being so patient with my request

Hmm It would be interesting to see how this pads would work on the Rognir…being closed back also. It looks thicker so those ears wouldn’t touch…I might request one since my pair is being custom made also

I hope they are producing deeper pads, I don't like my ears touching the pads as well.
Aside from really preferring my Abyss 1266 Phi TC, the MSRP and ear pad depth are my only complaints. Not too bad.

OK guys first impressions. First the good. The bass opened up a bit after a few hours of burn in. Very detailed. This headphone reminds me a lot of the Thekk with a tiny bit more sub bass. A thicker sound then the Wodan with the same level of detail. Because of this, it sounds more musical. Instrument separation is fantastic. The soundstage is very good for a closed back. I think the soundstage is better on the Gjallarhorn which to me is the best stage in any closed back. This to my ears is the best closed back released that I have heard (AT AWAS, Focal Stellia, ZMF Verite CB) by a good margin. They excel with all the genres I have thrown at it (90s and 00s alternative (think Incubus), Tool, modern jazz (think Kamasi Washington), female vocals, and pop (Michael Jackson…Madonna). I am very pleased with the sound so far. I can only imagine it will improve with a little burn in.

The bad. They are very comfortable but Man the ear pads are shallow. I can feel the inside portion of the pads with my ears. First time I have said that with any of the 35 Plus headphones I have owned. They could use a little more clamp but that is easily remedied with a Kennerton headband.

The shallow ear pad behind a superb performer is its downside equal to the headband of the HEDDphone. Shame.

Yep I hope they come out with a new pad that will work well with them….sucks we will have to buy it though!

I mean, if there is a fix. I've owned every TOTL or demo'ed it, never had any sort of pad niggle, so this feels like a super short sighted design flaw. It's curious, at least, to me.
