We'll finally know what it looks like (wood cups and customization if any) and also; I guess, we'll finally know how it sounds, compared to other known headphones, like your Wodan 2021, your Thror and the Odin mk2, not to mention the Gjallarhorn JM Edition.
You won't have to go into details, just give a small overall impression .
Your Rögnir will be the best closed-back headphones on the market; I have no doubt about that.
And the 20 μm thickness of the planar (isodynamic) diaphragm of the Rögnir is perfectly justified, necessary and even optimal; demonstration in associated links.
Haha. At least you know it's definitely not Bog Oak.
But I had this same regret before, hence my 2nd pair of Odin Mk2 with Bog Oak cups.
(Yes, I bought it after the Purple Heart ... just that I'd have it in this wood).
I will post a picture when I finished my current wood project with "tea" (spanish word, that means old pine). I found some long "tea" boards lying in the ground of my grandfather basement and I reuse to my little projects. I hope you like it, maybe tomorrow I will end the project.
Ok, I'll post some pics of my finished project with "tea" (old pine). Due to (obviusly) not related with topic, I am going to put them into spoiler. I hope you like them.

Yes, that was exactly what I thought when I see that purple Rögnir, if ithilienrp has a pair of shoes to match
A few guys above have suggested a comparison that I will love to see here: Rögnir vs GH 50. But I don't know if someone would compare them with the Kennerton open back plannars... And also I would love to see a @Malevolent comparison with his TOTL closed backs (I really love the comparison he made: Denon AH-D9200 vs Sony Z1R vs Verité closed).
