Magni V2 does not seems to be lower performing than the V3 according to what I read about it, it has a bit more bass and little less treble.
Maybe I did not read properly ?
More Bass and less Treble for the V3 I meant
Hi.
Magni V3 is better.
The V1 and V2 versions of the Magni (identical except for the number of vents (port) in the rear back: 2 vents for the Magni V1 against 1, in the shape of a bat's head, for the V2 version) are less well damped than the latest V3 version of the Magni with its solid wooden frame avoiding resonant internal plastic parts.

Quote Valentin (Interview with Kennerton CEO) :
" Magni are closed-back headphones based on a graphene membrane emitter with a triple magnetic system. The first version was technically imperfect: there was a resonant peak within upper frequencies range because of the poorly cushioned back wall in some pieces. So we started to improve the design. For instance, we’ve got correct cushioning by the wooden frame and gave the holed metal flange some cushioning, too.
As for the overall tuning, Magni are pretty bass-focused (judging by figures), but subjectively even-sounding headphones. They provide a fantastic sound stage, but need to be warmed up, they just won’t sound as good as they can without it."

EDIT: The Gjallarhorn GH 50 with its integrated wood horn in the cups also has a solid internal wooden frame, a priori without vibrating plastic parts.
