keep those transformers away from the amp PCB!!!!

The hum on my amp is now gone. I moved the amp PCB to the front and the transformers to the back. I can't hear any hum.

Why not build your power supply circuit in another case and keep it far away from the amp circuit? If you do this it might be prudent to do a bit more filtering inside the amp's case to deal with any noise that may come from the cable run.

Plus this gives you the benefit of making an insanly regulated supply without regard to space considerations when your sharing the case.

Why should I do that? My problem is fixed.

Also, the power supply I'm using is the ultra-regulated (according to Kevin) power supply designed by Kevin Gilmore.

That's what I did first thing when I decided to go back to this hobby 2 years ago. Added benefit is that when you build a new amp you don't have to worry about making power supply for it. If you experiment a lot, it's very useful to have a separate power supply.

That case is really nice, may I ask where you got it?

How hard was the Gilmore to build?

That's not the first time I've seen those pics, but...

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

It looks about $1500-$2500, and probably sounds it too. Have you considered getting into the DIYFSE (Do It Yourself For Someone Else) business? You'd probably outstrip HeadRoom in sales in a week...
