It seems that my beloved K701 just can't stay off the Injured Roster. Over the past day or two i have noticed that the cans sound really hard and harsh in general, and that the low bass (not bass drum but bass guitar or heavy electro bass) is flat, quiet and sounds like there's buzzing/rattling in the 'phone.... I've tried and checked all my sources/wiring, and have even run them direct just for test purposes and the weirdness persists.

what might be going on? Because frankly I really don't want to have to send them away for another two months lost in Customer Service Limbo.
