Just bought my first K1K last week of Sherwood. #3024 recabled by Enigma Audio. Playing through an Emotiva RPA-2, which not surprisingly, fills in a bit of the low end over the Extreme Platinum.

It unfortunately didn't come with a box, so if anyone is considering selling theres, I'd appreciate if you'd let me know.

My fault. Box was too pretty to let go. I feel bad about it, though, Ric

You're supposed to wait until they sell before you post that

All this talk about the JH13 is getting me interested! But I don't know if I can live without the K1000's soundstage, imaging, midrange purity, and treble extension.

Can those of you who own both the K1000 and JH13 tell me how those attributes I mentioned compare between the two?

I'm interested in the JH13s as well. I won't give up the K-1000s. They are the best headphone on the planet IMHO. Amping them right, putting a solid source in front of them makes a huge difference. Power cords, ICs, and vibration control all make a difference in what they will sound like since they don't have their own signature. The K-1000s reveal what you feed them, but they sometimes get blamed for revealing something lacking upstream.

But the JH13 seems to be the only slam dunk out there in headphone land. In other words, everyone likes them

- that can't really be said about any headphone including the HE-90 and R10, 02, K-1000, HP-1000, PS-1, Qualia, etc etc.

Please tell me you are joking. There is a JH21 coming down the pipe? Any ETA?

Yeah, I'm multiple post, so what

Why live without the K1000, when you can have both?

I have a couple of K1000s, which I absolutely adore, and auditioned a JH-13 Pro (although universals) last weekend. The JH-13 Pro were really great in most aspects, but I do not feel they stand a change against the K1000 when it comes to soundstage.

The K1000 is going nowhere, but I have made up my mind to acquire a pair of JH-13 Pro in addition.

I didn't mean that I'll be selling my K1000 if I get the JH13. It's not gonna happen!

Is there any chance that I can get Jerry Harvey to send me a demo of the universal version of JH13 Pro?
