100+ Head-Fier
I have only heard the ath 70e for roughly 20 minutes. My Short impression is that the fx1200 is still the superior iem overall. Have not heard the fw01 or isine range.
OK, so, it's FW01 vs FX11/1200. I read that FW01's mid is a bit more forwarded, bass tighter, and the treble less peaky. The last part is why I loved the FX1100, they had superb treble. Can you point out in what ways FX1200 is still better than the new FW01 ? They also say the FW01 shows more details., do you agree ?
The most notable difference is bass, the FW01 are less boosted. If you liked the amount of bass you got from your FX1100, then stick with them
Sound less boosted because the drivers are thinner and faster
I listened to the JVC range a while ago in Japan and I liked the v-shaped sound. If I wanted that sound signature with more of a treble boost than bass (but still boosted) and good for female vocals, would the FX1100 or FX1200 be suitable? Or would I be better off with another IEM from JVC? Also, I’d prefer something that didn’t protrude too much from the ears if possible. Thanks.

Concur with Sotiris, the JVC HA-FX1100 and JVC HA-FX1200 are one in the same... just different markets.
The FX1100/1200s do protrude from the ear more than my FX750s did, considerably so... all the Woody IEMs protrude due to their design and the rather large wooden diaphragm sitting inside the IEM but the size is well worth it to gain the amazing imaging and timbre (which results in excellent female vocals by the way).
Edit:
I had all intentions to buy the the FX1100/1200s but ended up buying the FX750s instead at a fraction of the cost as they fitted extremely well and sounded much, much better to me in the imaging and timbre departments... I listen to a lot of ambient (classical and electronic); female vocals (opera/choir/new age/rock).

Thanks for the response. How does the FX750 compare to the FX1100 and 1200 sound wise? Are their sound signatures similar?
