For times when good isolation and a longish listen is needed I reach for my E3cs or Ety 6is. But sometimes I just want/need a "quick" listen ( maybe even portable dab radio rather than MD/HD/flash players) in noisy/busy/ less "serious" listening situations. I'm a fan of canalphones. Have used ex71's as my less expensive/stock/"rough" phones .............. but now had a second pair lose a channel - despite very careful babying. (I understand it's a known "issue"!!??) So looking for cheap(ish) canalphones.
By chance came across a webpage with Victor (JVC) HP-FX55 - called "Gumy" phones!! They look very like the ex71s. ( But choice of garish colours!!) . Would cost me approx £30 / $50 - importing to uk from us ( Audiocubes have them). Anyone used them please?? Any comments ?? Thanks.
