Could these be the headphones that we fans of the nanotube have been waiting for?

IIt seems that uses the same 40mm driver, the S500 uses.

Is there a release date yet? I'd love to get my hands on these whenever they come out :)

Do you think people will go for a group buy in the U.S, you're lucky they sell it in your country :P

Oh man can't wait for 1st impressions of these esp. from people that has both the S500s and these S770s. Hope JVC tuned these vastly different and better than the S500s if that is even possible. Pretty amazing news out of the blue tbhh.
Yeah, I don't think I'm going to get them unless I can find them for around $60, and they sound different, as a reshell is pretty easy.

This is why JVC is considered a generic brand in the US, they never bring their good stuff here.

Not really the headphone people are waiting for. A tweaked S500 driver in a M750/S800 housing will be good but not the true full size most are waiting for.
My M750 vs. the RX in size...

As an "S" phone they are still just a portable. Not a Japan model, so probably just for certain markets. USA has the M750 which has the same housing and almost the same specs and Japan has the S800 which is the same phone as the M750. Don't see JVC releasing the S770 in those places.

but 40mm driver?
seems like its around $70 for bigger pads and same driver...

That's the UE for us. VAT is around 20+% and the euro is too strong. To give you an example the SA400 goes here for 39€ MSRP that's $50.  I can imagine that if the S770 makes it to the states will be much cheaper than those $77 MSRP they are asking for over here.
