The RX700 is in fact a semi closed headphone, you could try lighting around the silver lining outside the cup and it'll pass through the inside, it's just not as obvious at first look.

Maybe you should just try using some other material other than draw liner.. I mean maybe you should use the same stuff that pros use to give their room some acoustic treatment.
