I have a pair of old JVC HA-D810 headphone. I can't remember when I bought it, I think around 1995. I bought it when I bought my first PCDP (a Kenwood DPC551, which is dead now), not because I knew that it was a good phone, but because the salesman suggest it as a replacement for the stock phones.

Does anybody else have this? And is it considered as a "good" phone?

I absolutely love these headphones. I knew a number of other guys and girls who also had these, all loved them. A couple of girls have raved about how comfortable they thought they were and I have to agree. Very comfortable, great sound, makes portables come to life, and they were reasonably priced. Unfortunately JVC stoped making these a number years ago. I bought mine in early 2001 and barely nabbed them online. I wrote to JVC telling them to bring them back, but was ignored.

I was lucky enough to have a buddy who found me a pair of these. I actually kinda love them. Listening to some trance with them now, and the smile-factor is mighty high

And yes, they are quite comfortable as well.
