Now to my problem, title says it all:

Basically, I don't like the bass of the fx66 and would like to brighten up the earphones a bit.

Search didn't return any useful threads, so my question would be whether there is such a mod and if, how it is performed.

not that i have any real help to offer but the bass is overpowering on the 66. i trim mine back and boost the midrange on my m6sl. other than that i know of no mod. it's tempting to remove the port covers or try different tips. seal varies from one user to another; what works for me might not for you. the tips seem to be very close to the cx300.

Ok, thanks..

I couldn't find the "grey rubber tube" though and I would be interested to know whether someone has done this before and could give some feedback on the sound change?
