Well, american people, tell me, is it really that bad??
It really shocked me. I couldn't keep it dry for several times during the film.
(yeahh, I am a girl I know, but still)
I can't believe people are being dropped like that by their own government. Hell yeah, we pay a lot of tax here if you look at what you earn before you pay all the taxes (I am still not in a bad position) but I am glad to do so since I also help other people who are not in the luck to afford things that I can.

But it made me curious...I would like to hear opinions of people who live in America and experience this in their daily life.

It's a good thing that I'm young and don't have kids....that way I can easily afford health insurance

Yeah, insurance is bad for both patients and doctors (have family members who are docs that can go on and on about how bad its getting). Well hopefully by the time I'm old, we will have done something to get health care costs down to a more reasonable level.

BTW, it's not the government that is dropping patients. America doesn't have any socialized medicine. And if you try to get into debates about that, that's going to be political in nature

I'm not MM fans however US do have problems with Health care. I've lived in Australia as a Overseas student and got the chance to know how their health care work from my own experience & my friend's. They have their own positive & negative but knowing you won't need to worry about money when you have health problems is priceless. I can't understand the reasons why medicare took effect only when we're 65 (if I'm not mistaken). In US, Middle class gets screwed while the rich, the poor and illegal gets all the benefits.

In a dark room full of text filled screens somwhere in Langley Virginia, a console light just flashed.

Mysteriously, Daverose disappears.

Every country has problems with health care; the problems are just different depending on the nature of the health care system in each country.

anyone who posts an opinion on this site is spewing propaganda.

for my own bout of propaganda spewing:
senheisser hd-420>hd650.
grados are more like grados than AKG's.
vinyl is better than CD.

nowthen
weather MM hates america is a debatable topic. i would bet he actually likes America but hates how its being run. the middle eastern man who the stereotypes are made from hates America. remember America was started by people who wanted to run it, not by people who wanted someone else to run it for them.... dictatorships, monarchies, and socialist governments are run for you - you never have to insert an opinion or oppose the government and it works!

I don't have problems with health care. I pay 122 euros a month and don't have to worry about a thing

A better way to put it is that he hates certain things about America and wants them to change, just like evangelical right wingers hate legalized abortion and evolution. But nobody calls them 'America haters'.

Until we can stop picking sides and ignorantly dismissing the other we're doomed to become a second rate country. There was a time guys like Moore and O'Reily would debate for hours - and note I said debate, not argue - and then have a beer and talk about the kids afterwards. In those days the crap would fall apart and truth of the issue would come out.

Today we're all so sensitive that the slightest offense causes near permanent hatred, and all we're left with are various camps of people who agree with each other whether they know what they're talking about or not. When there's no dissenting opinoins the end result is almost always ignorant and misinformed, wheter it come from Moore, evangelicals, the White House, PETA, or whatever. They're all in the same category as far as I'm concerned.

This would be about the equivalent of watching Transformers and asking "are there really cars that turn into robots?"

I will take bets from any interested parties on the eta of the closure police for this thread, PM me.

I will refrain in totality from posting any of my own thoughts and opinions on the matter or any of its related matter and submatters. This topic isnt a can of worms its a whole container ship of them and I do not think it is ever the sort of topic which the internet forum, with its inability to convey nuances of meaning and its tendency for short bursts of opinion without elaboration, which will manage to unfold in a civilised manner except perhaps on a very small and less diverse forum.

Well, I didn't thought this thread would cause closure since it has been posted out of a sincere meaning. If so, indeed close it. I realise now this contains politics and it is not allowed. I just wanted to hear opinions from other people on this one...that's all....
