Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to the audiophile end of the audio world, although music has always been my life (choir nerd, violinist, guitar player, etc.)

After much perusing of the forums here I decided on the AKG K271 MKII which arrived around two weeks ago.

I now (as of about 10 minutes ago) finished getting F2K all set up with my parametric EQ settings from PiccoloNamek's stellar walkthrough here. I also set up ASIO and got everything running in exclusive mode, and HOT DAMN what a difference! I'm amazed. Re-listening to some of my old audio (already had it ripped at 320!) and its incredible.

So thank you all. I can't wait till I can afford my amp, though I hear the K271 is decent unamped, I know they will truly shine. Guess that's where the forum gets its slogan, huh?

I second what ROBSCIX said... "sorry about your wallet", and I have no doubt it'll suffer even more in the future. Then again, if money can buy you happiness, it is money well spent :P

ASIO output from Foobar will bypass the EQ settings in Foobar? That seems odd. I know it will bypass my system's software EQ (not that i use it anyway)
