Just recieved my JVC HA-SZ2000 and I'm NOT dissappointed ANYMORE

I've done as you said HawaiiBB, and I'm now using Fiio as my amp and the D2X as my EQ. 
Tremendous change in the sound quality! But I still need to tweek the EQ a bit so the rest of the sound doesn't drown all together.

Dual driver design is powerful but complicated to find sonic balance. Needs a pad change and a eq session but it's got lots of potential.

REALLY old thread but im in the same boat. gona get the sz2000 cause king of bass. changing the pads to the m55x. and getting a FiiO e12. what im having issues with is an EQ for a mobile envirnment. im playing off my phone.

what phone do you have, there's plenty of EQ apps. Noozy music player has a system wide DSP/EQ built-in and is a great player
