You didn't include your credit card information!

I'm eager to hear what you think given your current fondness for the RP-21. I'm enjoying the sound of my RP-15MC after some burn-in, though the inner pads' direct contact on my earlobes is a bit bothersome.

EDIT: Wait, do you still have your RP-21?

I had a buyer for the rp-21 the day I bought them. So they are sold and on the way to the new owner. Now even before I get the rp-15mc the same member would like to buy them if I should decide to sell them. I don't need to put these cans up for sale. They are sold when I think of buying them. LOL. Funny no one ask to buy the DENON D1000 because that sounds every bit as good as the rp-21. I like it better because of its smaller size. I hope to say the same about the rp-15mc.

Yes, but at what price?

Did you post your D1000 impressions anywhere among these forums? I love reading how good the cans I don't have sound.

True. The DENON D1000 cost me 119.00 while the RP-21 cost me only 90.00 and now the RP-15mc only cost me 66.00 shipped. The D1000 has better highs and better sound stage over the RP-21 but the RP-21 and D1000 sound great. The RP-21 has the 50 mm drivers but the D1000 has tight bass with super highs but not fatiguing in any way.

Not to derail this thread too much, but since you are the OP and you did invite the comparison...How do the D1000s fare in the midrange? Can they be adquately driven by a portable source (e.g. a DAP), or do they require additional amping like their siblings the D2000 and D5000? Which reminds me...have you heard the latter two, and if so, how does the D1000 stand against them?

@EsthetiX: Congrats on your purchase! Looking forward to your impressions.

I have not heard the 2000 or 5000 but read a post that said the 1000 was 80% of the 5000? I use my stereo receiver amp with the D1000 as well as I will use it with the RP-15mc. I did put the D1000 to my portable radio that is only 5 m/w out put and they sounded jusy great.
