I've just been listening The Doors and Minus the Bear (Menos El Oso) on my new Grados and have been blown away.

I really enjoyed Menos El Oso, does anyone know if their other albums are similar, and are people able to recommend similar bands?

Thanks.

Minus the Bear's new one is really good, but I would also suggest giving This Is What I Know a listen.

Other suggestions:

Owls
Appleseed Cast
Sea and Cake (a bit jazzier...)
Liars (a bit crazier)
Pinback
Sweep the Johnny Leg
Pattern is Movement

Buy Highly Refined Pirates and They Make Beer Commercials Like This.

I love those albums.

Not really the same musical genre as Minus the Bear, but it is another Botch-aftermanth band.

Oh man, Botch ruled.

You may or may not like "Shawn Hewitt and the National Strike", it's got a more soulful, and almost RnB feel, but is also kind of progressive like Menos El Oso. Google him and you might like what you hear.

Menos El Oso is kind of strange because it has some Indie, Emo and Prog elements, which is rare.

Thank you very much for all the suggestions.

I shall see if I can sample them through towerrecords.com and then try and hunt them down in the UK.

Thanks Again.
