The needle work near the end on the both side of headband is already coming off... What can I do??? And the metal band slides around inside the black padding material a bit too... is this normal?

I should hope not. I was considering ordering a pair of the 325's. I tend to like a lot of rock/alternative music, and I thought the 325 sort of brightness would be ideal for me... this might give me second thoughts.

is this metal band part of the headband?

the leather padding is a little smaller than the metal band on my 325's, so it does slide a little bit both ways

and for the needlework, It shouldnt really be falling apart.... however my MS-Pros have 1 stitch on one side that has fallen out - i took a min and shoved that one back in... and it hasn't moved since

good luck

Grado is one of the few US based companies, and AFAIK has a very good customer service, why always instead of asking here, not contacting them directly.....????

Just wondering if this is normal since I heard about Grado's "bad" built quality. The more info the better.

I have never had reason (luckily) to contact them for a repair, but I have only read positive things about Grado's customer service. Give them a call, and I am sure they will be better than new when you get them back.

Grado has awesome customer service. I damaged my cord one time by accidently running over it with my swivel chair. They said just send it in; I did and they sent it back fixed a couple weeks later. Free of charge.

Will a dab of super glue corride the headband material?

If it doesn't I think I"ll just dab a few drops to prevent further fraying... Cause these sound pretty good I don't really wanna wait to ship them to Grado Labs and then wait for the to come back...

Just put the smallest possible quantity of superglue (0.00001 cube milimeters)to prevent further fraying. That's what I would do if I were you.

my ms-2s have this exact same problem. i'm was more than a bit disappointed - i would have though for $299 they could have done better..

i eventually managed to solve the problem by pushing the loose thread throught he surface and into the headband, but not before one 'empty' thread hole formed.

and the sr325s have leather headbands? i'm sure my headband on my ms-2 is pleather.
