All I can say is wow! This is my upgrade from my super.fi 5 EB that I used to love but after 2 years I was craving less bass and more clarity and I got just that with the triple.fi! I was affraid that it wouldn't have enugh bass but out of the box they are just perfect even without an amp plugged into my zen vision:m. They really do bring clarity up a lot and remove the fatigue I used to have with my EB with brighter stuff. The bass is just in perfect quantity. I think I just found the perfect earphones at last!!!

All I can say is go for it! For the price they are just right!

I thought it was good as well, everything is exceptional with the Triple. fi except for the fit. I think it's no where near the comfort level of their customs line; they also need better foam.

always thought the foam was kind of a cheap type w/ ue iem's

when i got my superfi 5 pros last week, the foam riped of of the drivers as soon as i put them in my ears, still waiting for replacements in the mail...

apart from that, gotta love the sound

can the triple-fi work well unamped? can it be used exclusively as a portable? I am toying with the idea of buying a set of the super fi 5 pro because amazon has them for $150 right now, but I do tend to get the upgradeitis... I would be using them exclusively unamped though..

Post in the thread in my sig if you got the limited edition, and I'll add you to the list of owners.
Surely there must be more than 8 triple fi users on head-fi.

Nah it the new plain blue regular edition... But all that matters is the sound anyway!

As for unnamped it works perfectly! Never heard it amped but my zen vision seems to do the job just fine!

The limited edition looks the same, it just has a number on the clam shell and comes with a free larger metallic travel case that in some cases allows you to engrave custom text like your name.

As for amping, it's still an IEM, you can expect a difference, but I wouldn't listen to people that uses phrases like "blows x out of the water" or "night and day difference".

Just my 2 cents.

i have the se530 and the triple fi 10 are certainly up there with them in sound quality, but i chose the se530 for the simple facts,it looks smarter (or more professional) and they fit better, with them lovely new foams and fitting in the ears litterally all in the outer ear aswell instead of sticking out, kind of a deal breaker for me,but they certainly sound great but i prefered also the se530's proven professionally to be flatter across frequency range, respect to ue tho they needed a triple driver consumer phone and they great if a bit ugly
