Well after a LOT of reading reviews and such I decided on the SR-325's for my musical tastes ($218 brand new w/ warranty overnight shipped helped too). Granted, I am only running them through my PC (SB Audigy) and playing mp3's I am still pretty impressed. The phones are a little 'shrill' for my tastes but I'm hoping that will clear up with break-in time and upgraded equipment. The ear-pads are NOT what people make them out to be. They are FINE. They aren't by any means ''ahhh, comfortable'' but they aren't ''GET THESE THINGS OFF ME'', not by a long shot. I don't even notice them on my ears, honestly. The headband, now thats another story. I need to really modify the headband, because after 5 minutes the top of my head starts to ache (must be a really sensitive area). I have tried bending it and everything, but I think it's just the 'pressure' and hard leather, no biggy, I will mess with it later. I'm not going to write out a long detailed review, based on the fact nobody will take it seriously considering my equipment and source. I do plan on making the EAR+ amp (can't afford the assembled or KIT, so I'm making one from scratch) and eventually hooking it up to a DVD/CD player, but mp3's are fine for me at the moment. I STILL can't tell the difference between a fresh QUALITY mp3 rip and the 'real thing'. Maybe these Grado's will open my eyes, hopefully.
